Water in the Dannemora mine now below 460 m level

The drainage of the Dannemora mine, for which pumping started in May 2009, is now completed according to the plan. A total of 2.99 million m3 of water has been pumped out and the water level is below 473 metres. The extensive drift system at the 460 m main level is now accessible, which means a great step forward in the preparations for reopening of the mine.
